Bega Valley club gets the "bio buzz"
The Bega Valley club has used AFB Awareness Month to publicise responsible beekeeping across the region. A story featuring biosecurity officer Fay Steward in the local newspaper urged all beekeepers to inspect their hives this October and register with DPI.

October is AFB Awareness Month
All beekeepers: inspect your hives in October and tell us what you find. The ABA, together with the DPI and others are running a campaign to help beekeepers keep on top of this devastating bee brood disease.
Invitation to attend NSWAA Sydney branch meeting
Rod Bourke (NSW Bee Biosecurity Officer) will be the guest speaker at the October meeting of the Sydney Metro branch of the NSW Apiarists Association.
The branch would like to extend an invitation to members of the ABA to attend Rod's presentation.
The meeting is on Tuesday 3rd October at 7.30pm at The Church Hall, Turner Street, Ryde.
